Today is discovered that a former owner of my car put newer model drosselklappe on it. Wiring brown/green are put together, car runs oke for 8 years. I have a older model for spare, shall i make the car Original or leave it like it is?
Edit: The pink hose on the picture is connected on the drosselklappegehause....it seems to go underneith the dash but i cannot find it beqause of all the wiring. Does anybody know what this hose is for?

Found this http://www.20v-sauger-tuning.de/ (luftmassenmessertuning)very interesting. Unfortunately i had no 8,6mm drill so i made mine 8.5mm, i took 16% and made it 53,1mm. I did not try it on the car yet, will ithe engine go run lean or will it be the same beqause proportion is still 16%?

I am building an engine for my '88 Coupé Quattro 20V, i bought an extra engine so i can take all the time i need. Cillinder head i have allready done (20 valves is a lot off work ) and now i am beginning to work on the rest off the engine. The plan is; New pistons, i bought a set Mahle, bore will be 83.01 New bearings for pleuel and crank. And off course, making everything as clean as possible.
Beqause its the first time for me doing this kind a work a have a few questions.
Piston to bore clearance should be 0.03 according to Mahle, i believe it is a bit tight or is it oké? Oil, what kind of oil? i read here that 5W50 is oké, but is it oké for a "new" engine?

Does anyone know the weight of a complete 7A engine without gearbox? I am planning to do a motorswap and i need to know if my crane can handle the engine.

I bought myself an extra engine for my Coupe', i measured the pistons and the cilinder bore and so i came to the piston to bore clearance. Cilinder 1 is 0.07mm (piston to bore) Cilinder 2 is 0.06mm " Cilinder 3 is 0.08mm " Cilinder 4 is 0.07mm " Cilinder 5 is 0.09mm "
According to my Haynes manual maximum is 0.08mm so nr. 5 is out of range. I had the intention only renewing piston rings beqause new pistons are a bit expensive, what will happen if i put these pistons back in, they look okay and the cylinders are also in good shape. Is it an option too put in an used piston in nr.5?
Years ago i watched an episode of Tatort, the episode was probibly early ninety's, in this episode there was a carchase with a Cayenne red Audi Coupe' Quattro 20V. I searched Youtube but i never seen it again, i talked about some other Coupe'-freaks here in Holland but nobody had ever heard about the Quattro in Tatort. So now i try it here, is there anybody who has seen it?
